Procon is currently seeking qualified applicants for these positions of Senior and Intermediate Estimator to join our team at the Head Office located in Burnaby, British Columbia.
The Ideal Candidates will possess:
An engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma in related field
A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in estimating capital costs of mining operations
Previous experience in cost estimating of heavy civil works and mills is an asset.
Proficiency in AutoCAD as well as Project application and office structure software.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
Leadership experience would be considered an asset
Roles and Accountabilities:
Preparing all levels of capital cost estimates form mining operations.
Analyzing costs, scheduling and preparing estimates for engineering projects.
Maintaining appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation and review, as well as updating the estimating data base.
Obtaining quotations from supplier and subcontractors to support capital cost estimates
Establishing good working relationships with staff, engineering discipline leads, department and projects managers and clients.
