The Snap Lake Project was another KeTe Whii / Procon Joint Venture undertaking. Phase I pre-production began in 2000 with extending existing workings into the ore zone and evolved into Phase 2 construction of the underground ore handling system and mine services. Phase 2 consisted of over 9,000 meters of lateral development including excavations for the crusher, conveyor way, bins and pump stations. A joint venture was formed with MONAD for the mechanical and electrical installation of the conveyors, crusher, feeders, dewatering system, and heating / ventilation plants for the mine.
