Located on the southern tip of Greenland, Procon began work at the Nalunaq Mine in 2000.  Nalunaq is the first gold mine to be developed in Greenland and is the first mine to be put into production in Greenland in over 30 years.  Crew access to this site is by plane or boat only, with equipment and supplies being brought in by ocean liners equipped with ice breakers.  Procon supplied personnel and equipment for lateral development and production mining as well as Alimak raise crews.  Procon was the only mining contractor on site until Crew Gold closed the mine in 2009.
