Procon was involved in developing approximately 1,000 meters of Access decline to the 1270 Level in the Valley of the Kings zone. Other work included; assisting the client in construction of their new water treatment plant, West zone geo-tube and piping installation, as well as other miscellaneous surface work as requested by the client. In late April 2014 development of a 200 meter Alimak Raise began with the goal of providing more ventilation and a secondary means of egress. Level development into the bottom of the raise access had already begun. Procon was also working closely with the client in order to transition from tube emulsion blasting to bulk emulsion blasting in order to improve development efficiencies while maintaining a low level of nitrates in the mine water treatment plant.
