Project Manager

Procon Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. (Procon) is a successful Canadian mining contractor with sites across Canada. We specialize in above-ground infrastructure, contract mining, underground excavations, civil tunneling and construction.

Procon is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Project Manager to join our team at the Mosaic K2 Potash mine located in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Project Manager will direct and coordinate all In Flow Project activities, while demonstrating leadership in preserving the health and safety of all project participants.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management preferably for a mining contractor;
• Degree in Engineering (Mine Engineering is preferred);
• Proven ability to execute assigned projects, project objectives, manpower requirements; while staying within budget;
• Maintain company’s policies and procedures and monitor that quality standards are being adhered to at all times;

Responsibilities:
• Proven leader able to effectively manage staff, and maintaining strong relationship with client;
• Prepare and compile budgets, revenue forecasts, operational plans and contracts;
• Assist in developing new strategies for capturing, pumping and sealing the brine-water inflow into the K2 Mine;
• Provide technical support to Mine Operations in mine design, survey controls, and advice for production procedures and methods;
• Ensure that daily task analysis of water inflows are completed, all discrepancies and modifications to inflow systems are properly completed and investigated;
• Maintain project schedules, track work progress, manpower/equipment requirements;
• Ensure safety provisions and investigations are carried out, in addition, all incident and accidents are reported to the correct people in a timely fashion;
• Demonstrate visible personal commitment to safety through involvement in safety plan development & implementation by ensuring compliance of programs, regulations & initiatives;
