Mine Engineer

Qualifications:
The Engineer is required to possess a high degree of technical knowledge and competence relating to mine design, equipment selection, mine ventilation design, mine construction scheduling, project capital cost estimating, materials and equipment procurement. In addition, the incumbent will possess knowledge of underground mining practices, processes, regulations and designs relating to environment, health and safety.

The Engineer will aid in the development and implementation of detailed mine designs targeted at achieving the client’s mine development goals. He (she) will also establish and maintain good working relationships both internally and with the client and will communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Essential Criteria:
• Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mining Engineering);
• 3 years of relevant experience in underground mines;
• Safety & goal oriented;
• Strong leadership and communication skills;
• Able to travel and remain away for extended periods of time;
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, operating and technical skills;
• Ability to engage in multiple projects at one time;
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary resources to meet operational target performance requirements for quality, quantity, cost, environment and safety;
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct subordinates.
