Mechanical Department
Work in the main shop and staging building includes the following:
- rebuild and overhaul of mine production and support equipment including drill jumbos, scooptrams, haulage trucks, loaders, longhole and bolting rigs, underground service vehicles, generators, compressors, and pumps
- repair, rebuild and overhaul of 3rd party equipment in the mining, industrial, construction, pipeline and logging industries
- design and manufacture of custom equipment for specialty applications
- conversion and upgrade of heavy equipment
- maintenance of heavy equipment including fleet service contracts
- repair, overhaul, modification, and evaluation of heavy equipment
- provision of ongoing training of Procon staff
Electrical Department
Procon’s electrical shop complements our mechanic rebuilds, overhauls, and conversions with any necessary rewiring or electrical repairs. We also do:
- custom design of electrical systems
- equipment wiring harness manufacturing
- electrical AutoCAD schematics
Welding & Fabrication
Welding and fabrication are done in the main shop and the staging building. Work includes:
- design and fabrication of Certified FOPS/ROPS canopies
- frame modification and refurbishing
- structural improvement of machines
- complete fabrication of components\
- non-destructive testing of equipment and components
- Structural Engineering Certification
The Procon Equipment Division is Canadian Welding Bureau Certified.
Machining Department
Procon has its own machining department which supports the equipment operations by providing functions such as:
- Manufacturing pins and bushings;
- Line boring; and
- Modifications of components
Warehousing
The warehouse is a multi-functional space that allows for:
- marshalling of equipment for shipping to and from Procon job sites and 3rd party clients
- shipping and receiving of parts and ancillary gear to Procon job sites and 3rd party clients
- a large on-hand inventory of ancillary gear such as pumps and fans
- a large on-hand inventory of parts for repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls
