Procon is currently seeking qualified Development Miners:

Requirements:
• Good physical condition;
• 3-5 years’ experience in underground operations specifically in drift, ramp, stope, raise and construction mining;
• Blasting Certificate and first aid is an asset;
• Successful candidate(s) are expected to adhere to company safety policies & procedures at all times.

Responsibilities:
• Understand the mining methods used at the location and company policies while working in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Fully support and actively participate in the safety program;
• Ensure that any equipment deemed damaged or unsafe by defect, or a machine of which any protection system is inoperative, is not used, and communicated to the shift boss;
• Work closely with the other development crew members to create and maintain a synergy required to accomplish the shift lineup in the cycle;
• Ensure applicable procedures and work standards for all tasks are understood adhered to and complied at all times for all such work;
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all workplaces. Utilize the safety system as specified with the corporate safety management system;
• Perform any one or more of these tasks: Operator jumbo drill, install rock bolts, screen, shotcrete (as needed), muck, operate truck and provide assistance to the crews.
